A story about the remarkable life of a shelter turned service dog.

Gander was rescued from a kill shelter in Pueblo, Colorado and later trained as a Service Dog in Denver.  He was paired with Lon Hodge, a Vietnam Veteran who suffers from PTSD and autoimmune issues.  Together they travel the country advocating for Veteran Suicide Prevention and Service Dog Awareness.  Filmmakers, Diane Mellen and Stacey Stone followed Lon Hodge and Gander over the course of 7 months. This documentary is an uplifting look into one Veteran’s journey with PTSD and the Service Dog who saved his life.
